September 10, 2010 – a holiday for others but not for us – the participants of Junior Philippine Computer Society (JPCS) Leadership Transformation Workshop (LTW) 2010. But please don’t get me wrong, it was super worth it(^^,)
The JPCS LTW 2010 was held last Sept. 10-12, 2010 at the PLDT Innolab in Boni, Mandaluyong City. Chapter schools from different parts of the country were well represented.
I am so happy that out of the 9 officers of the iACADEMY local chapter (ayt!), 5 were able to attend, 3 were able to finish, and 1 was able to make it to the JPCS National Board of Officers (NBO).

What we have learned here? A LOT.
Here are some of my favorite lines/lessons:
It is the attitude and not the aptitude that defines your altitude.
If you give 100%, you’ll get 100%.
5 Ps: Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance
The answer lies in your hand.
AFFIRMATION: Babies cry for it. Grown-ups die for it.
TEAMWORK is not allowing anyone to fail.

Know what’s so COOL about this funshop? All these stuff I have written above were not presented to us in a lecture-type of way. We have learned all these while playing and doing activities – structured learning experiences, as they call it m/
As I’ve mentioned, 1 of the ayt! officers have made it to the JPCS NBO – that’s me *wink* and I’m just so thankful to God for giving me this opportunity to lead and serve others by being the Vice President of JPCS National. tGbtg~
The panel interview I’ve experienced here is one that I’ll never forget. It’s a bit funny that the questions thrown to me were same questions of people closest to me, too. Questions asked are something like these:
1) With all your affiliations/work, how will you be able to manage them, esp. if you’ll be a national officer? (like mommy’s Q)
2) If ever given a chance, are you willing to be the president? (like bestfriend’s Q)
3) What is a major failure in your life and were you able to overcome it? If yes, why? (familiar? the major major Q)HAHA. Not that easy questions, right? I’m happy that I was able to answer the questions well and the other participants appreciated my answers too. They gave me affirmation and I’m actually overwhelmed(^^,) Thank you peepz.
Also, I almost forgot, but I should not forget this one: a heartfelt gratitude to PCS, JPCS, PLDT, and Microsoft Academic Team.
